Children’s Nonfiction
I write books and stories for readers of all ages. Since I love research, I specialize in nonfiction for children in kindergarten and up. Check the You’ll find books, magazines, and sites for reader through grade 6 on the Portfolio page.
YA Fiction & Nonfiction
Adolescence is the most stressful time in a child’s life. In writing for grades 7 and up, my aim is to inform and entertain while helping teens navigate life.
School & Library Visits
I think of my writing as teaching one reader at a time, and I love doing class visits. They’re not only about my books; I want to get kids fired up about reading and writing. Thousands of students have had fun with a variety of activities. Check out the gallery of past visits.
